Excess State Land Program on Track to Create 5,550 Homes

The LGMG awards include $10 million to MidPen Housing for the development of a 75-unit affordable housing project located in San Francisco. The project has received more than $20 million in local funding, including an Educator Housing loan from the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development. The project will be affordable to households earning between 30% and 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) and have an occupancy preference for employees of the San Francisco Unified School District or San Francisco Community College District.

Alameda Planning Board Approves More Housing

The Board unanimously approved amendments to the RESHAP Development Plan and Agreement to increase the number of supportive housing units from 309 to a minimum of 332. The project by MidPen Housing Corporation, the Alameda Point Collaborative, Operation Dignity, and Building Futures with Women and Children (Collaborating Partners) will sit at the corner of West Midway Avenue and Pan Am Way.

Demolition Starts For Casa Roseland, Santa Rosa

Demolition has started for a new affordable housing complex at 665 and 883 Sebastopol Road in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. The development, named Casa Roseland, will bring 75 new units along a retail thoroughfare as part of a seven-acre redevelopment plan. MidPen Housing is responsible for the application.
